- Once Human is about to launch its latest script with The Way of Winter
- This is another reason to be excited ahead of the expected January launch on mobile devices
- Unfortunately, the game may no longer be available by the time mobile gamers get their hands on the game
Once Human, the ARPG from NetEase Games, will release its latest expansion in the form of Way of Winter. Taking players on this cryptid-inspired survival game to an entirely recent area in the remote reaches of Nalcott, it promises to bring significant recent additions to the title.
Of course, you may remember that while Once Human is coming to mobile devices, it’s still a long way from release. However, I wanted to discuss the upcoming expansions, especially since it means you can prepare for what will be included when it hits store shelves in January 2025, according to the iOS App Store entry.
As you might expect, Way of Winter introduces temperatures that provide players with a recent, constant threat, but the recent Thermal Tower building offers a familiar (*cough* Frostpunk *cough*) a way to survive the chilly. Meanwhile, players have a completely recent map and monsters to encounter while exploring recent polar-inspired areas.
Honey, it’s chilly outside
Considering that The Way of Winter will be hosted for a certain period of time and operates according to its own script, I would venture to guess that there may be no rotation by the time of the mobile release. This is a real shame, considering Once Human is a game that has been truly anticipated, and the PC focus is unusual for NetEase. Still, after the announcement of Destiny: Rising, it’s clear that the Chinese development titan won’t be ending mobile games any time soon.
