Without Progenitor, you’ll never get some of them Warframe the most powerful, destructive weapon. They can be arduous to identify, but luckily I own most of these weapons and can explain how to find one of these arduous enemies.
Where to find the Progenitor in Warframe
To interact with Warframe’s Nemesis (Lich/Kuva Sister) system at all, you must first turn the Ancestor into a Kuva Lich (Grineer) or Parvo Sister (Corpus). This is done by “killing” the Progenitor and stabbing it with the Parazon. The next time this Ancestor appears, he will have a name, a base Element (based on the Warframe you used to kill him), and a stern attitude that you can customize. More importantly, however, successfully killing this empowered Progenitor would grant a powerful weapon with bonus elemental damage tied to the element that was the Lich/Sister.
Where exactly can you find a Progenitor to start this process? Despite how difficult they are to find, they are quite simple to throw out of the shadows. I will split the process for both Grineer and Corpus.
Grineer Ancestor – Show Larvling
To spawn a Kuva Larva you must first complete Internal war main task. After that, any Grineer mission that spawns enemies of level 20 or higher will have a chance to spawn a Kuva Larvling. If your screen starts flashing during any normal Grineer mission, you need to do this kill 10 enemies in one minute for the guaranteed appearance of Kuva Larvae. I found Capture missions on Grineer asteroid A set of tiles is the easiest type of mission for breeding Kuva Larvae, as you will have an almost endless source of enemies that will continue to attack you even after you complete the objective.
Once one appears for you, kill it and stab it with the Parazon to turn it into Kuva Lich.
Corpus Progenitor – Candidate

Corpus candidates are a bit more arduous to recall simply because their requirements are a bit more stringent. To spawn a Candidate, you must utilize a Zenith Granum Crown on any Corpus ship mission and then arrive Rank 1 Rewards during the challenge. Kill the Corpus Treasurers who show up to get the Zenith Crowns. Then you need to utilize the Crown on a Tribute to the Golden Hand statue. Additionally, you must complete Internal war AND Call of Temperstaria questlines before someone can respawn for you.
If you’ve made it this far, the process for dealing with the Candidate is the same as dealing with the Kuva Larva. Kill it and stab it with Parazon to turn it into Parvo’s sister.
What is Ancestral Warframe?
The final piece of the puzzle is the Warframe you utilize to kill the Kuva Larvae or Candidate. As I mentioned, the element that the resulting Kuva Lich or Sister Parvo will have depends entirely which Warframe you killed him on, so a The progenitor of Warframe. If you are looking for a specific item from a weapon that a Lich or Sister drops, make sure you kill their premature forms with the right Warframe.
