How to utilize Helminth in Warframe

The basic mechanics of Helminth are summing up. Basically, you sacrifice a Warframe (the base variant, not the main one) to add one of its four abilities to Helminth. You can then add this ability to other Warframes, replacing one of the four abilities of your choice.

Once you capture a frame to unlock an ability in Helminth, that ability will forever be available to add to other Warframes. However, only the specific ability of each Warframe can be subsumed. This is done for the sake of balance and you can check out the wiki for a full list of slave abilities.

Please note that a subordinated ability may function differently than the ability normally in its original form. For example, Rhino’s Roar is a tamable ability that is very popular, but Roar has a lower damage boost when bonded to another Warframe compared to Rhino itself.

It’s also worth noting that Boost Mods can be used on Warframes with the appropriate ability taken. So Rhino’s Piercing Roar mod can be installed on any Roar-equipped frame. However, some Boost Mods will have functionality specific to their original Warframe.

In addition to hidden skills, Helminth has its own set of skills that you can add to your frames. Some of Helminth’s abilities are quite powerful, such as Charged Ammo, which causes your weapon to only consume ammo every four shots rather than every shot when busy.

However, you cannot do any of the above without the necessary resources.

How to feed Helminth in Warframe

Whether you revive a Warframe, slot Archon Shards, or claim abilities, every Helminth action has a price. And you pay Secretions.

There are seven different categories of secretions consisting of various resources from throughout the game. For example Oxides The secretion consists of metal resources such as Aluminum plates. By feeding the Helminth these resources, you fill the oxide secretion.

The secretion can be filled to a maximum of 100%. How much a particular resource fills the secretion is up to you Helminth’s appetite. The more you feed your Helminth a specific resource, the less it will fill its secretion. So you need to change the way you feed your Helminth.

However, if you give your Helminth some time after feeding it, feeding it again with this material will fill your secretions as normal. What your Helminth craves is indicated by arrows on this resource in the feeding menu. Helminth can be hungry, unhungry, or neutral.

A green arrow means that Helminth is hungry for that resource, so you will fill your Secretion at the maximum amount, while a red arrow means that he is tired of something and you will fill your Secretion with much less. The absence of an arrow means that your Helminth is neutral towards that resource.

At last, Sentient discharge works differently than the rest. You can feed the Sentient Helminth’s resources to restore its appetite for a specific resource. So if you have a lot of one resource that the Helminth is tired of, you can turn its arrow from red to green by feeding it.

How to level Helminth in Warframe

How many Warframes you can conquer, as well as what Helminth abilities you have access to, is up to you Helminth’s Metamorphosis rank. This is basically the level of your Helminth. To even start counting frames, you must be Metamorphosis Rank 1.

Leveling Helminth is straightforward. By providing him with resources, conquering Warframes, placing Archon Shards or Animating Frames in slotsyou will receive Metamorphosis XP. However, leveling Helminth quickly is a more hard task, especially considering the resource costs associated with feeding it.

Wake-ups grant a ton of Metamorphosis XP, so even if you don’t plan on using a specific frame, Revive is a great way to quickly level up. You should also be careful when feeding Helminth so as not to waste your resources, which means wasting precious Metamorphosis XP.

The resource with the green arrow can fill the secretion by up to 30%, so feeding your Helminth the resource it craves when the corresponding secretion is already at 90% is not very effective. So don’t feel the need to keep your secretion level at 100%, just top it up as needed.

You can also remove a captured ability from a Warframe and then add a modern one, which can be an effective way to utilize up your Secretions, which in turn can be refilled – both will give you Metamorphosis XP. Just be careful not to feed the Helminth resources you need.

As a precaution, even if you are effective, Helminth isn’t something most players can max out in a few days. Depending on how many frames you need to capture and what resources you have, it may take a month or longer.
