Like all great RPG games, achieving cap level AND Item power maximum in Diablo 4 it is the most significant end goal that everyone strives for. How to make your character as sturdy as possible? Of course you have reached the maximum level!
Although the concept of maximum level used to be very complicated Diablo 4Blizzard made it much simpler with the introduction Vessel of Hatred expansion. The idea of loot breakpoints has also mostly gone away, and loot acquisition is less about the numerical “Item Power” list at the top of the item and more about its stats and affixes – at least in the end game.
Including Diablo 4 guide, we’ll teach you how to ensure you get your gear at the maximum level and effectively utilize your character’s maximum power.
What is the maximum player level?
In Diablo 4, there is a maximum player level and a maximum master level, which are now separated from each other – just like Diablo 3if you are familiar.
When you create a up-to-date character, you will start from level one. By completing campaign missions, killing enemies or completing activities, etc., you will earn XP, level up, and gain skill points to improve your build. It’s a pretty standard RPG. This will continue until you come level 60.
At level 60 you will stop leveling and will have all your skill points (you can gain skill points from other places such as the Renown system and Altars of Lilith). Then you will unlock Paragon system. Instead of gaining skill points at each level, your experience will affect your master level, which goes up very quickly (at the beginning). You will receive one Paragon point for each Paragon level you achieve, and there are 300 Paragon levels.
If you need facilitate leveling up quickly, check out our XP farming guide.
Level 60 with Paragon level 300 is the real limit of the gameand after that point you will no longer earn any XP. This is an extremely ultimate goal of the game and not something that most players will achieve. Even very dedicated players will likely rack up 200 to 300 Paragon points when the system slows down quite dramatically.
You’ll start this journey over again every season unless you want to play in the Eternal Realm, which we usually don’t recommend.
What is the maximum power level of the item?
Your main goal in Diablo 4 involves progressing through the difficulty levels until you reach the Torment difficulty level, starting at Ordeal 1. Until then, you’ll want to equip the highest level items you have, regardless of affixes. Until then, only legendary powers and the highest possible statistics count.
Once you reach Torment 1, every affix, legendary power, and item will be available to you. You can become a max power character in Torment 1 if you play long enough (although the drop rate is better at higher Torment levels). On Torment, all level 60 legendary items will drop at level 60 Item Power 750. Once you’re here, all you’re looking for are better stats and affixes.
The real chase here is for Legendary ancestor and Unique things. These items always drop at Item Power 800 and have at least one Larger affix (basically an affix that is much stronger than a normal affix but cannot be changed) attached to them. As you progress through the endgame, you’ll be looking for all 750 Legendary gear with as many Ancients as possible. Then you want to start replacing your 750 Legendaries with 800 Ancients. And then you want to start replacing your 800 Ancients with Ancients that have a lot of Greater Affixes that are good for your build.
