Only way to get to the icebreaker Destiny 2 Is complete the Vesper’s Host dungeon, where he will have a chance to drop after completing the last encounterBroken Puppeteer.

As with other raids and dungeons with exclusive exotics, the only way to obtain the Icebreaker is by luck of the draw. It’s not guaranteed to drop after defeating the boss, so you may have to complete the dungeon a few times before it’s yours – but remember, since the weapon can only drop once per character per week, you can’t farm it.

If you’re looking forward to your next weekly reset, you can run the dungeon three times a week, once with each characterto maximize your chances.

Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to augment your chances of dropping an Icebreaker.

First, every time you defeat Vesper’s Host and don’t get the Icebreaker, your chances of getting the weapon augment. Basically, if you keep trying, you’re almost guaranteed to eventually succeed.

Furthermore, you can complete Triumphs in the Seal of the Vespers Host to augment the drop rate. These include:

  • Alone in the Dark: Complete all Vesper’s Host encounters solo without missing an activity
  • Station deputy: Complete Vesper’s Host on Master difficulty
  • Buried Secrets: Find all collectibles in Vesper’s Host

Even with the above in mind, it’ll probably take you a few full dungeon runs to get the weapons, so grab your fireteam and start grinding.
