Overwatch 2The next spooky supernatural season will be full of fresh costume changes for Overwatch heroes, just in time for Halloween. The game’s annual holiday event, Halloween Terror, will return this October, remixed and brought to life with a spooky modern PvP mode.
And while season 13 Overwatch 2 doesn’t feature any modern maps or a modern hero, existing maps are changing, and players can get a glimpse of Season 14’s modern hero – a tank announced at last year’s BlizzCon – if Blizzard’s latest trailer is any indication.
Here’s what Overwatch 2 players can expect in the upcoming season.

- 19:00 Polish time for Great Britain

Season 13, known as Spellbinder, will bring a modern battle pass, a modern crossover with My Hero Academyand the return of the Halloween Terror to Overwatch 2. Blizzard is pushing modern Mythic cosmetics this season, including a modern Mythic Wizard skin for Widowmaker, a modern Mythic weapon for Soldier:76, and modern Gilded Aspects for existing Mythic hero skins that offer modern black and gold color variants.
Overwatch 2The modern Battle Pass will feature the standard 80 tiers of rewards, including the legendary Bog Witch Ana, Necrotic Witch Junker Queen, Witchbane Sojourn, Gnome Torbjorn, and Monstrous Sigma skins as part of the pass’s premium track. The store will feature additional spooky and supernatural skins planned for the Halloween season, including modern looks for Ashe, Illari, Kiriko, Mercy, Symmetra, Tracer, and Winston.
This season My Hero Academy The crossover will run from October 17 to October 30 and will include the following crossover skins: Deku Tracer, Uravity Juno, All Might Reinhardt, Himiko Toga Kiriko, and Tomura Shigaraki Reaper. The Mega Pack will include all five skins and exclusive cosmetics.
Halloween Terror 2024 will run from October 15 to November 4 and will feature a modern, fast-paced Team Deathmatch mode called Junkenstein’s Laboratory. The mode will feature a system called Cursed Talent Cards, which will provide Overwatch heroes with modern abilities. Previous co-op modes from previous Halloween Terror events – Junkenstein’s Revenge and Bride’s Wrath – will also return with modern challenges and bosses.
What will change in Overwatch 2 season 13?
1/4
Four maps will receive updates this season: Numbani, Circuit Royal, Dorado and Havana. Some work has been done on all four maps, but the constant change is that Blizzard has changed the area around the attacking team’s spawn point on each map.
Additionally, Overwatch 2The players’ list will soon expand with a modern tank. While this unnamed tank, the 13th in the game, likely won’t be made available until Season 14, there’s a good chance players will see it in Season 13. In fact, Blizzard teased a modern Scottish-sounding hero in the game’s Season 13 trailer. If the modern tank is released for a circumscribed test period, as was the case with the Mauga and Juno, we might see it in-game sometime in November.
Overwatch 2 is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
