Hailing from the wilds of Nahantu, the Spiritborn is a modern class introduced to Diablo 4 with the release of the Vessel of Hatred expansion. Wielding the primal power of the mighty Gorilla, the fearsome Jaguar, the majestic Eagle, or the fleeing Centipede, the Spiritborn can fit into a variety of powerful archetypes.
However, at this point in the Diablo 4 Vessel of Hate expansion’s lifecycle, two of these archetypes seem to stand out from the rest: the explosive DPS potential of the Lightning Damage Electric Eagle and the massive damage over time of the Poisonous Centipede.
The modern activities and story missions in Vessel of Hatred are much more challenging than most of the base game, so it’s good that Spiritborn is up to the challenge!
Here’s a breakdown of how to craft the best Spiritborn builds in Diablo 4, as well as all the best Skills you can choose when building them!

Is Spiritborn good in Diablo 4?
With the release of the Vessel of Hatred expansion, the Spiritborn is now considered the best class in Diablo 4, thanks to its enormous damage potential and versatility.
This makes the Spiritborn the perfect class to take on both the modern story campaign and modern activities, such as killing World Wanderers and attacking their Seething Lands.
Diablo 4 | The best Spiritborn builds and skills
If you plan on flooding the world of Sanctuary with poison, the best Spiritborn build to craft is Centipede structure focused on Touch of Deathor more precisely, an improved version of Poised Touch of Death.
After a tiny initial sting, Death’s Touch deals a massive dose of poison damage and causes the target to explode into a swarm of insects, damaging other enemies around it. However, what makes this truly great is the application Ready touch of death upgrades, this replaces your base skill and consumes Vigor with no cooldown.
Now with a good base skill to start generating Vigor – and one that’s effortless to miss Energetic You can turn the skill from the skill tree – Touch of Death into your main method of dealing damage.
However, there are a few more steps you need to complete to make this build truly overwhelming. First, you need to unlock the Insatiable Aspect from one of the dungeons in the modern Nahantu region. When equipped, this aspect causes swarms created by Death’s Touch to explode when you summon more than 3 at a time, dealing massive damage.
This is great in itself, but you can speed it up even further by grabbing the Centipede passive at the end of the skill tree, Harmful resonance. This causes poison damage to be applied immediately on critical hits, not only dealing more damage faster, but also eliminating the need to wait 9 seconds for DeathTouch swarms to form.
Or if you are interested in a more direct build with less configuration, build Eagle that deals lightning damage is based almost entirely on Quill Volley A skill that can be found in the second node of the skill tree.
This is an ability that consumes Spiritborn resources, similar to Tremor for Barbarians or Bone Spear for Necromancers. Basically, all you need to do is prioritize generating Vigor and dealing damage to your Eagle skills, nice and effortless.
However, since you need to fill the rest of your hotbar, there are still some other great Eagle Skills available – even if they don’t match the incredible power of Quill Volley. It’s really effortless to miss this incredibly good combination Measured vortex AND Successful from the third and fourth nodes of the Skill Tree, respectively.
This combo gives you a passive barrier that can be as much as 20% of your maximum health, and both Vortex powers augment by 300% and knock down enemies caught by it for 3 seconds. Not only does this really conveniently concentrate enemies in one spot for them to get hit with Quill Volley, but it provides incredible crowd control and gives you the breathing space you need to gain some Vigor in the blink of an eye.
