Caliban is not up-to-date Warframesbut since his introduction, he has been widely considered one of (if not) the worst characters in the game. All that has now changed, thanks to a massive rework that has turned Caliban into an incredibly powerful top-tier Warframe.
The Koumei and the five fates the update brought with it a ton of changes, not only to Caliban, but companions were reworked in addition to the introduction of a up-to-date Warframe, Koumei. However, if you want this update to release one of the strongest versions, read on.
The best version of Caliban in Warframe after the rework
Caliban’s build can be confusing, but our goal is a plain playstyle packed with power. All you need to do is call in the summons and you can start removing the armor. Everything around you will quickly start to die, and you can run into enemies whenever you need a shield.
The main focus here is on power, range, and a bit of extra duration at the expense of efficiency, which won’t be much of an issue with Caliban’s Arcane Energize, Streamline, and Razor Gyre abilities, which can generate energy when you dash towards enemies.
Arcana: Increased energy and shedding
Aura: Growing strength
Exile: Cunning drift
Fashion: :
- Primed flow
- Basic continuity
- Primed redirection
- Intensification of the Umbra
- Blind rage
- Temporary durability
- Streamline
- Extend
You can replace Primed Continuity with Continuity, but without Primed Flow you will struggle to save energy, and without Primed Redirection you will be rather tender. Umbral Intensify can be swapped out for Intensify to save on mod capacity if you’re low on Forma.
Nourish is quickly becoming a popular sub for Caliban, but his kit already synergizes well, so this build won’t rely on Helminth. Although feel free to experiment. Either his first or second skill will be prime candidates for replacement if you want to utilize subsuggestions.
The best Archon shards for Caliban
Archon Shards aren’t absolutely necessary here, but they make a large difference. As always, Tauforged Shards are preferred. Stacking even more strength makes Caliban’s summons more powerful, and his casting speed greatly improves the utility of his armor bar abilities:
3 Crimson Archon Shards: + Ability Power
2 Amber Archon Shards: + Casting Speed
How to play Caliban in Warframe
Caliban has three different summons, including his own Sumulists which have their own summons, but this build mainly uses ranged weapons Ortholyst call for both damage and damage Tau status effects. Tau is a up-to-date status effect that makes enemies more susceptible to further status effects.
There are no strict weapon requirements here, but you do need something that can trigger a number of status effects. Given that Tau’s effect will make it easier to apply statuses, you can even build your weapons with less status chance and more statuses since Tau will aid you activate them.
To get started, summon yours Ortholistsand recall them again when they expire. Then utilize yours Razor Swirl the ability to jump towards a group of enemies and maximize your shields. Use yours Conscious Anger hit the ground running whenever you find yourself in a arduous situation and need a break. Finally, utilize yours Fusion Strike to strip enemies of their armor before you quickly wipe them out, especially if they have them Tau state.
Most of the time, you’ll be alternating between summoning your minions and taking off your armor, occasionally dashing to replenish your shields and pounding the ground to stun nearby enemies. Caliban is a solid figure, especially with his passive and thanks to this Primed redirectionyou’ll have plenty of shields.
