The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has a huge set of tools. By using the Tri Rod, players can summon copies above 100 items from around the world and animals called “echoes”. With a flick of her wand, Zelda can create anything from a bed to an Octorok. Just like in Tears of the Kingdomthis system allows players to be inventive in solving puzzles and navigating the world. And since Echoes of WisdomFollowing last week’s release, players are already finding clever echo combinations that can annihilate opponents and seemingly break the rules of the game itself.

IN Echoes of Wisdomplayers take on the role of Princess Zelda. With the aid of a fairy named Tri, she is able to create copies of objects, as well as operate an ability called Bind, which allows Zelda to move objects over distances. The Bind Power allows her to reach out with a magical aura, and if an object moves along a set path, the Bind allows the item to drag Zelda along with it. The Bind skill, combined with dozens of items, gave players a giant canvas to tinker with and interrupt the game.

One a person found a way to fly harassing the crow with a piece of meat. Another person found out that it is possible simple to climb the steep cliff summoning a spider called Strandtula and operate Bind on it as it climbs up the wall. Another player uses a a creature called Tornado combined with the bed to easily send Zelda skyward. Still another uses it trusted tableGustmaster and Ghirro to fly. You can keep scrolling to see what everyone has done for themselves, but it’s truly phenomenal to see how much has been discovered in such a miniature time.

The Echoes of Wisdom the developers said so their mantra for the match was to allow players to be “malicious”. It may sound confusing, but according to longtime producer Eiji Aonuma, the team came up with the phrase because they wanted to add something to the game that was “really hot.” Director Tomomi Sano said that the team wanted players to “find uses for echoes that are so inventive that they almost feel like cheating” and that this is part of what makes the game fun.

Of course, what is fun for one player may not be fun for another. Someone may not want to summon a combined meat and crow flying device to investigate their surroundings, and there’s nothing wrong with that. So if you are someone who prefers to force yourself to operate the bed, there is always that option.
