Down a secret ladder above the palace in Gerudo Town in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Princess Zelda finds a hidden cave with a tempting prize: a Piece of Heart.
But to add this to her total, she’ll have to solve a sophisticated puzzle consisting of boxes, boulders, and one of the most useful echoes in the entire game!
Here’s what you need to do to grab a piece of the heart.
Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Gerudo Town Heart Piece
As you descend the ladder into the cave, you come face to face with two intimidating Thwomp-like enemies: Platbooms.
When you get close, they will fall to the ground, trying to crush you. You can avoid them if you want, but they’re actually some of the best Echoes in the game and you definitely want to add them to your arsenal.
They are vulnerable from the side, so utilize Carmadillo or a similar Echo to hit them when they are at your level.
On the other hand, you can either utilize the trampoline to jump onto the Platboom, which will then lift you to the top of the cliff, or you can utilize the Strandtuli to give you a rope to climb.
Then, to destroy the crates blocking your path, select Rock Echo. Then jump and throw a rock, which will then fall and break the crates below. Repeat this trick on the other side and you will come across a giant boulder.
Cast Tri on the boulder, then drop back down to the left. This will change the angle of your tether relative to the boulder, so now when you jump back up it will raise the boulder enough for you to duck under it.
You can then grab the Heart Piece and utilize the transformation point outside to escape!
Not far away, in the north of the Gerudo Desert, you will also find another Piece of Heart!
