Funko FusionThe latest character reveal is KFC’s mascot, founder and real-life person Colonel Sanders (Colonel Harland David Sanders died over 40 years ago). And if you eat enough KFC chicken, you can get a special version of the delayed quick food icon in a mech suit. Seriously.
Last year we were presented Funko Fusiona third-person action game featuring Funko Pop figures from various series and brands, such as Thing, Back to the Future, AND Jurassic Park. Funko Fusion, created by some were Lego Game creatorwill be launched at the end of this week. And to get people, let’s say excited regarding the upcoming game, KFC and developer 10:10 Games have announced a strange crossover.
September 9, 10:10 AM Games and KFC released low trailer showing Colonel Sanders as he appears in Funko Fusion. At one point in the trailer, Sanders shoots at an alien monster with Thing with pieces of fried chicken being tossed out of a striped, red-and-white KFC bucket. This is real. This is happening right now. And there’s no stopping it.
In the press release about the KFC/Funko crossover, 10:10 Games explained that there will be three versions of Colonel Sanders in the game. The basic white suit version will be included in the base game. The chef suit variant will be available for free to KFC rewards members. Finally, if you want to unlock and apply the mech suit variant of Colonel Sanders (a real man who once walked this Earth), you’ll need 250 KFC rewards points. That’s about $25 worth of chicken.
At this point I’d joke that Sanders is rolling in his grave, but this guy’s probably used to it by now. KFC is blatantly turning Sanders into a corporate cartoon mascot. Remember that dating game they made?? Or this terrible romantic movie? Honestly, compared to this shit, it’s Funko Fusion The crossover is almost adorable in comparison. Almost.
Funko Fusion coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC on September 13.
