There are many hidden levels IN Astrobotwhich mostly take the form of hidden planets in each nebula. You’ll need to uncover them if you want to complete each level and rescue each bot. The trick is that you may not even know you’re missing a planet until you’ve completed the nebula and see that you’ve somehow missed a few bots and puzzle pieces on the progress screen.
In this Astrobot guide, we will take you through how to unlock hidden levels and I’ll show you where to find it all hidden levels.
How to Unlock Hidden Levels in Astro Bot
When you first unlock the nebula in Astrobotyou will have access to one planet. As you progress through the levels, more planets will appear until you can finally face the boss. However, hidden in the nebulae are a ton of petite planetoids, each of which is home to a bot. There are even pieces of the puzzle that have been kidnapped by aliens, which you will have to chase around the screen to collect.
To reveal these hidden levels, simply fly around until they appear! There are some caveats that make this fragment more complicated, but overall so basic.
Often these events won’t appear until you’ve completed other planets in the nebula, so it’s best wait until you have completed all the major planets before you start looking for fresh ones. Once you finish the nebula boss and the iconic level, just fly around the screen, hitting planets. Eventually — usually within 20 seconds — some event will appear on screen that will prompt you to investigate.
All of these events are very basic. In most cases, all you have to do is hit a planet with your ship and it will turn into a level. Other times, you may need to fly through a group of asteroids, swirl around space debris, or chase an alien carrying a puzzle piece.
Four of the five nebulae will eventually have voids in the shape of one of the four PlayStation buttons. By starting these levels and running to the end, you’ll unlock four fresh challenges in that nebula, themed around an X, Circle, Square, or Triangle.
If you’ve flown for 15 to 20 seconds and nothing appears, try backing out of the nebula and back in. Sometimes it doesn’t generate more than one event per trip.
