Update: Astro Bot’s PS5 launch is still a few days away, but if you look challenging enough, you can easily find a ton of gameplay footage online. As we noted in our original piece (which you can still read below), people have been streaming Astro Bot on sites like Twitch and Kick since they managed to get their hands on early copies of the game.
Clips from these streams are now being uploaded to social media, and while Sony seems to be cracking down on leaks as quickly as possible, there’s basically no way to stop them at this point. YouTube has also been hit with a wave of Astro Bot videos — some of them spanning entire worlds and levels.
In brief, if you want to get in on Astro Bot blindly this Friday, you should exercise caution when browsing your regular sites.
Original story: Astro Bot isn’t out until September 6th — this Friday! — but it looks like physical copies of the game are already available, with various social media posts confirming that a handful of lucky fans managed to track down the title on PS5 — and some of them were even able to stream the game online via sites like Twitch.
Of course, that means there may be spoilers, so we advise caution. While we doubt Astro Bot will have any gigantic plot twists, there are certainly elements of the adventure that can be spoiled — like cameo appearances by PlayStation characters and surprising gameplay moments you’d rather experience for yourself.
Hopefully, spoilers will be kept to a minimum over the next few days. If that means anything, we’re currently playing Astro Bot for review purposes — and we can promise that said review will be spoiler-free!
