The Sims game coming to Nintendo Switch for the first time — two games, actually. Electronic Arts announced Tuesday during its Nintendo Direct presentation that the Nintendo DS and Wii classics MySims AND MySims Kingdom will be available on Nintendo Switch in a bundle as MySims: Cozy Bundle.
In a press release, Electronic Arts said it has “refreshed” the Nintendo Wii and DS controls to work on the touchscreen and Switch controllers. All textures have also been updated, rendering the game at a higher resolution than originally. It will be released on November 19.
MySims The game was originally released in 2007 for the Nintendo DS and Wii consoles, and then MySims Kingdom will also hit these platforms in 2008. The games don’t really resemble the main series’ simulation games, such as Sims 4Instead they are more like Animal crossing AND Animal Crossing: Wild Worldwhich were released in 2001 and 2005 respectively.
Electronic Arts has essentially squashed its Sims into Mii, cartoonish characters. You don’t farm much — if at all — but other than that, the game follows the pattern of a farm or life simulation: build a town by constructing homes and businesses, gathering resources, and helping the townspeople. MySims Kingdom gives the game a medieval character.
