As a child I became very familiar with the lively theme song Marvel vs Capcom 2I’m sure most people have AND the story of this game, and here’s mine: my family couldn’t afford a babysitter, even though my parents worked from sunup to sundown. My older brother was often responsible for me growing up, but when he wasn’t available (because he had his own life), I would accompany my parents to the laundromat they ran. Throughout the 90s and early to mid-20s, their business often included one or two arcade machines. Marvel vs Capcom 2 was the one I was most interested in and it became everything to me. As far as I know, it was the first game I ever tried to master. I had to jump on the bars twenty times in the afternoon, whenever I got to that laundry room, and in turn MvC2 has never left me.
