New trailer Echoes of wisdom released on Friday, reveals that in addition to her copy and bind powers, Zelda can also summon the power of a swordsman. In practice, this ability essentially gives Zelda Link’s sword-fighting prowess; she can cut, spin, and defend while in swordsman form, but only for a narrow time.
Zelda’s primary weapon in Echoes of wisdom is her Tri Rod. This tool allows the princess to create copies of objects and enemies, then utilize those copies as “echoes” to fight other enemies, solve puzzles, and traverse Hyrule and its dungeons. Much like the recent Zelda games featuring Link (Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom), players’ creativity and ingenuity will be key to solving the princess’ problems — like dealing with the nasty mystical cracks that are tearing Hyrule apart.
