ZZZ Corin Kit Explained

Corin’s kit is a bit slower and clunkier than what you might be used to from characters like Billy and Anby. She basically does one thing, and that one thing gets more powerful the longer you do it. Her primary passive increases the damage of her basic attack the longer you apply it or hold it, and at higher levels even increases the critical damage of her abilities.

The basic attack in question consists of a five-hit combo with the chainsaw, and if you hold down the attack button on the third or fifth hit, the chainsaw will simply buzz – and raise Corin’s basic passive.

Corin’s dodges and assists all do variations of the same thing – they deal a lot of physical damage to enemies in front of her – although her dodge counterattack causes an explosion just for the sake of it. When you press the skill button, Corin swings her chainsaw and then detonates it, dealing a lot of physical damage. Her EX Special is the same, except the explosion is bigger. You can hold the skill button to attack multiple times before letting go and causing an explosion.

And that’s it. Corin plays like Anton in that she needs her enemies to stay still long enough for her burst to connect, but she’s also slower, meaning the chance of an enemy moving on before she even lands a hit is pretty high. When she does land a hit, though, she does a lot of damage, especially if you’re attacking enemies while they’re stunned.

ZZZ Corin Teams

Corin’s secondary ability gives her a nice damage boost against stunned enemies, so you’ll want to pair her with a sturdy Stun Agent and someone with a physical attribute or from Victoria Housekeeping if you can. Lycaon is an excellent choice and stuns enemies better than any character in the ZZZ starter build, although Piper has some advantages as well. She builds Anomaly quickly, and if you build Corin with Fanged metal and stun enemies, she’ll do even more damage.

Possible compositions:

ZZZ Corin W Engines

Corin can apply several W-Engine engines, although a few are best suited to her playstyle. Her signature A-rank W-Engine is Housewifewhich you can get for $0.99 in the Welcome to New Eridu Gift Pack. It grants the character who equips it a decent boost to energy regeneration while they are out of the field, meaning you’ll have less downtime before you can fire their EX Special when they come back. It also increases the user’s physical damage by three percent when their EX Special hits an enemy, this effect lasts for one second and can stack 15 times. Corin is the only character who can easily maximize this effect, and the damage numbers stack quickly.

Its top-of-the-range S-Class W-Engine is Steel pillowwhich has a better stat breakdown with Critical Hit Rate as a secondary stat and a flat 20 percent physical damage from the passive. This skill also increases the damage of the character who equips it by another 25 percent if they attack from behind.

Starlight Engine is another A-Rank Engine that you can easily get since the Gadget Store sells them. It’s more basic than Housekeeper with a slightly lower base attack stat, but the passive skill activates without an EX Special. When you apply dodge counter or quick assist, your attack increases by 12/19.2 percent, and since you can spend Dennies to get more Starlight Engines, you can easily reach that maximum number.

ZZZ Corin drive discs

Corin is a main DPS with a few extras, so you have a few Drive Disc builds for her and a few crucial stats to focus on. If you’re playing Anomaly Corin or have Piper on Corin’s team, full Trapped Metal the kit is definitely a solid idea.

  • Four-piece Set: Increases Physical Damage by 10 percent and the character who equips it deals 35 percent more damage to enemies affected by the Rush ability.

You can apply a two-piece Puffer Electro set it so that Corin gains an eight percent raise to her PEN rate, meaning she’ll ignore a bit more of her opponent’s defenses, or the Electro Woodpecker two-piece set, which increases her critical hit rate by eight percent.

If you build Corin with critical damage in mind, Electro Woodpecker the set works well. The four-piece effect increases the attack of the character who equips it by nine percent for six seconds if they critically hit with their basic skill, dodge counter, or EX Special, and each of those skills gets its own buff, for a total of 27 percent damage raise.

Pair this with the Fanged Metal two-piece set.

ZZZ Corin’s Statistics

Critical Hit Rate and Critical Damage these are the best stats for Corin, since they’re the easiest way to quickly raise damage, and you can already get a decent crit boost from whatever W-Engine you’re using. You could build Corin with Anomaly in mind, since her special and basic attacks hit so often, but you’d have to give up the crit and energy regen stats to do so. It’s best to stick with Anomaly’s substats.

  • Plate IV: Critical Hit Rate or Critical Damage
  • Disc V: PEN Factor or Physical Damage
  • Disc VI: Energy Regeneration
