Citlali’s Genshin Impact build and teams

Published:

Good Citlala’s Genshin Impact version has one thing at its core: mastery of the elements. Citlali needs this more than any other stat, and the good thing is that you can get a free 4-star catalyst that boosts your elemental mastery – without having to fiddle with your weapon banner. Citlala’s set includes a passive buff that increases her damage by a significant portion of her mastery, so stack as much as you can on her.

Our Genshin Impact Citlala build guide highlights her best weapons and artifacts, and we’ve also included some recommendations from Citlala’s team.

Citlala’s Genshin Impact weapon

Starcaller watch is Citlala’s signature weapon and fits well with her support playstyle. Starcaller’s Watch’s bonus stat increases the elemental proficiency of a character equipped with it by 265 at max level, and its passive skill has two effects. The former increases the user’s elemental proficiency by 100, and the latter increases the party’s damage by 28 percent when protected by a shield created by the equipping character. This effect happens once every 14 seconds. Citlali’s ability – which creates a shield and the source of the Cryo application – has a 16-second cooldown, so this buff will essentially trigger every time Citlali uses her ability.

Nahida’s signature, A thousand floating dreamsit’s a sturdy second choice if you have it and aren’t using it for Nahida. A thousand floating dreams. Its secondary level increases the user’s elemental proficiency by the same amount, and its passive helps enhance Citlal’s skill damage and ultimate goal. When the user’s party has the same elemental type as the user, elemental mastery increases by 32, and when the types are different, Citlala’s elemental damage increases by 10 percent. Both effects can stack up to three times. Citlala’s kit means you probably won’t have other Cryo characters, but the damage enhance at least makes her a more useful sub-DPS.

Sacrificial fragments is the best 4-star weapon for Citlala, thanks to its powerful Elemental Mastery buff and a passive that has a high chance of resetting the user’s skill cooldown timer. This is useful for refreshing Citlala’s shield duration, but also means she can fire Cryo projectiles more frequently.

Another useful – and free – 4-star choice is Nautical chart. It also buffs the user’s elemental proficiency, though to a lesser extent than Sacrificial Fragments, and gives them an 8/16% elemental damage boost when their elemental skill hits an enemy. Since you can forge Mappa Mare at the blacksmith using the right materials, you can actually get this high-end buff with relative ease and without having to throw Primogems at weapon banners.

Citlali’s Genshin Impact Artifacts

Citlali can make good apply of several artifact sets, not just Cinder City, although that is also useful.

Cinder City

  • Two-Part Effect: Equipping the character restores six energy when an ally triggers Night Soul Burst
  • Four Element Effect: All party members gain 12% bonus elemental damage when the equipping character triggers a reaction related to their element. If the equipping character is in the Night Soul’s Blessing state, the party gains an additional 28% elemental damage bonus to the elements involved in this reaction

Citlala’s burst deals an exceptional amount of damage after unlocking her final passive talent. Recovering more energy quickly is always beneficial for her, and the additional elemental damage bonus for the team is a welcome boost. However, this set means you must include at least one additional Natlan character in your party.

Gilded dreams it’s a sturdy alternative that works regardless of your party’s regional origins.

  • Two-Part Effect: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80
  • Four Piece Effect: Within eight seconds of triggering an elemental reaction, the character equipping it will receive several buffs. Their attack increases by 14 percent for each teammate whose element matches their own, and their mastery increases by 50 for each teammate with a different elemental. These will count for up to three characters, and the effect can trigger when the character equipping them is outside the field

Citlali’s second passive talent reduces enemy resistance to Pyro and Hydro when Citlali is engaged in triggering a reaction involving either of these elements and is not benefiting from Cryo resonance. In other words, don’t put another Cryo on her team.

Citlali’s Genshin Impact stats

Citlala’s third passive increases her elemental damage by 1200 percent of her Elemental Mastery. Her skill shield scales based on elemental mastery, and her third passive also provides a slight enhance to her skill damage based on elemental mastery. This is really her only critical stat, although she also benefits from energy charging.

  • Flower: HP
  • Feather: Attack
  • Sands: energy charging
  • Goblet: Mastery of the Elements
  • Rim: Mastery of the Elements

Genshin Impact Citlali Teams

The tiny version of this section is that Citlali works great in any team with a Pyro or Hydro main DPS, whether it’s a premium team with Neuvillette and Furina or one where you apply Xiangling and Xingqiu. Running it with an Anemo character who can further reduce elemental resistance with the Viridescent Venerer set is also a great idea.

It also works well as a general sub-DPS Cryo or support, thanks to its Cryo application and sturdy shield, but only reduces enemy resistance to Pyro and Hydro.

Some possible team combinations include:

Mavuika is your main DPS in this build, although if Citlali triggers a melt reaction, her high elemental mastery means you still see a lot of damage. Bennett is here to keep the team energized and give Mavuica an extra attack. However, any main DPS Pyro would do – Arlecchino, Lyney, even Diluc.

The Hydro version could be:

You can also swap out Neuvillette for Yelan, Mona, or any of your main DPS Hydros, or apply Mavuika or another Pyro in a mixed team.

Chasca is also a potentially sturdy choice for Anemo, as she has a high chance of charging Pyro or Hydro missiles in her boosted ability. The downside is that he can apply a Cryo Ball instead and there is no way to tell what element he will apply.
